American Football, not to be confused with soccer known as football in many parts of the world, is a popular sport particularly in the United States. The game is played by two teams on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The objective is to score points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone. Points can be scored in several ways, including carrying the ball over the goal line, catching a pass in the end zone, or kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts.
Grundregeln und Spielweise
American Football combines elements of strategy, teamwork, and physical skill. Each team consists of 11 players on the field at any time, divided into offense, defense, and special teams. The offense, which has the ball, aims to move the ball forward in sections of at least ten yards in four downs or plays. If they succeed, they get another set of four downs. If not, they turn the ball over to the opposing team.
